Welcome Ellie!

On Thursday July 30 at 1:53 pm, Miss Elizabeth Gouveia Caldas (8 lbs 5 ozs, 21.5 in long) was born into this world in a room filled with hysterical laughter! On my third "pushing contraction" Edwin told me a joke that made all the nurses, doctor and me laugh so much that out she came! She was an easy birth and to date (4 days old), she is still a very easy baby. She eats every 3-4 hours sleeping in between....for now, I am actually getting a fair amount of sleep. She is already eating about 2 ozs per feeding and is only 5 ozs under birth weight. We had our first Dr. appt today and he she is gaining weight very well only being breast fed. YEAH!! Another strong healthy girl!!!

Cate is doing very well with her new sister. She already wants to share her goldfish and popcorn with her. Every time she picks up a toy or book, she offers it to Ellie first. She is, however, wanting more mommy time than usual.
